A M O S I. CHOOSING A PROJECT I was getting ready to switch off. The two books I was browsing through were the Koren publication of the Old Testament, opened at the Book of Amos , and C.H. Charles’ edition of the Book of Enoch . Both were bulky. I had perused them on many occasions and was currently trying to decide which to tackle. Both deserved to be discussed in a manner that would bring them to the attention of ordinary well-read individuals, who were not biblical scholars. Charles’ own, highly analytical and clear analysis, was not meant for the general public. It was too esoteric.
